Back in school and another full load ahead of me too. I told myself I wouldn't do three classes anymore, because I'm working full time, drawing comics and I have a family. So, what changed? I changed my degree first off. For the better. I'm finishing a degree I started out doing way back when I started going to school. I changed from art to engineering a while ago, because of various reasons. My jobs have always been dealing with technology or machining and I figured getting an engineering degree made sense.
However, jobs change, but one thing that hasn't is my love for art. I have had jobs from machinist to computer technician and that likely will never change, but one thing that stays the same is my love for art or more specifically comics. So, I'm finishing a degree in visual arts. I'm pretty close to finishing, so there isn't a lot of work to do. However, time is always a factor, so I will likely have three years before I'm finished, because I'm going to school part time.
I'm excited for this semester. I'm taking advanced drawing, some core VA course and a 3D-Studio class. Nine credits in all. Fortunately I was able to get a lot of my classes transferred from other colleges I've gone to in the past. Three to be exact. I majored in art for a year before I changed to engineering and that was a long time ago, so I wasn't expecting to get so many classes excepted. Obviously the math and computer science stuff didn't help, which I had a lot of, but no problem. I still think all those classes were very helpful in my career in IT.
Okay, time to study.

What I'm working on
Hi all,
I've been working on two comics for almost a year now. One is more of a personal project that I'm working on with a local writer. He and I have been getting ready to launch a kickstarter, but we may end up having to post pone it until next year. The book is called Rock Slingers (formally called Busterville).
The other book is Steamroma. I'm now 73 pages into this project and I'm four pages away from finishing the second book. Each volume is over 30 pages. I think there are three more books. As far as I know I'll be working on all the books.
I'm also reading one of Terry Brooks latest books The High Druid’s Blade. So far I lov
If I had a time machine...
I posted this on my blog last year and I thought I'd post it again.
If I had a time machine and could talk to my younger self.
Dear 12 year old self,
Wow, look how young I look, I mean you look. Look, first off, shut up. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Sorry, I’m old and frustrated with all the mistakes I’ve made, which you hopefully will avoid. Now, you’re going to make mistakes in your general life, but that will lead you to some of the greatest times too, so don’t worry about that. All I’m here to talk about is your art.
This might be a shocker, but you don’t draw comics for a l
